It truly was a picture-perfect winter’s day when Laura and Joe celebrated their wedding at the stunning De Vere Tortworth Court. The morning greeted everyone with a crisp, bitter frost that shimmered across the grounds, beautifully balanced by glorious winter sunshine streaming through the trees. The contrast of icy air and golden light created the most magical setting, ideal for such a special occasion.
Bridal preparations were already well underway in the elegant Kipling Suite. The room was alive with excitement, music, and the gentle hum of anticipation as hair and makeup artists worked their magic. With its abundance of natural light, stylish décor, and a charming feature fireplace, the suite provided a warm and welcoming space for Laura and her bridal party to get ready. Laughter echoed around the room as final touches were added and the atmosphere built toward the moment everyone had been waiting for.
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Orangery, located just across from the main hotel building. Flooded with natural light and surrounded by views of the wintery grounds, it offered a breathtaking backdrop as Laura and Joe exchanged their vows. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple shared a heartfelt and joyous ceremony filled with smiles, happy tears, and meaningful glances. As they made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife, they were greeted with a wonderful confetti walk - a vibrant, celebratory moment made even more striking against the crisp winter air.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for formal group photographs and romantic couple portraits around the hotel’s impressive grounds. The combination of frosted landscapes and low winter sunshine created dreamy, golden imagery that perfectly captured the romance of the day.
Laura looked absolutely radiant, carrying a stunning bouquet created by Gloucester Florists. Her hair and makeup were beautifully styled by Celfie Hair and Makeup, enhancing her natural elegance, while her exquisite gown from Rookery Bridal completed her timeless bridal look.
Before the wedding breakfast, guests were treated to a series of heartfelt speeches. The father of the bride, best man, maid of honour, and groom each took their turn, sharing stories, memories, and well-wishes. The speeches struck a perfect balance between humour and emotion, filling the room with laughter one moment and tender sentiment the next.
As evening fell and additional guests arrived, the celebrations continued in full swing. Laura and Joe gathered everyone around for the cutting of the cake before sharing their first dance as newlyweds — a beautiful, intimate moment that quickly transformed into a lively dance floor. With music playing and glasses raised, friends and family joined them to celebrate long into the night, bringing a truly unforgettable winter wedding day to a joyful close.
