ELEANOR & ANDREWS SUMMER WEDDING AT FARLEIGH HOUSE

Some wedding days feel effortlessly magical from beginning to end, and Eleanor and Andrew’s beautiful celebration at Farleigh House was exactly that. Set in the stunning countryside near the Wiltshire and Somerset border, their day blended elegant surroundings with relaxed moments, meaningful traditions, and a golden evening that couldn’t have been more perfect.

Bridal Preparations in the Farleigh House Suite

The morning began in the beautiful bridal suite at Farleigh House, where Eleanor got ready surrounded by her closest friends and family. There was a lovely calm atmosphere as the final touches came together - hair being styled, dresses being fastened, and those quiet moments of excitement building before the ceremony.

Natural light filled the room, making it the perfect setting to capture those small but meaningful moments that happen during the morning preparations.

Guests Arrive to the Sound of Bagpipes

As guests began arriving at the venue, they were welcomed by the unmistakable sound of bagpipes playing across the gardens. It created such a memorable atmosphere and set the tone for the day ahead.

The sound carried beautifully through the grounds, adding a sense of occasion and anticipation as everyone gathered for the ceremony.

An Outdoor Ceremony with a Traditional Touch

Farleigh House offers one of the most beautiful outdoor ceremony spaces, and Eleanor and Andrew made the most of it. With the gardens providing a stunning backdrop, guests took their seats ready to watch the couple say their vows.

In a truly memorable moment, Eleanor walked down the aisle to the sound of the bagpipes, creating a powerful and emotional entrance that had everyone smiling. It was a wonderful personal touch that made the ceremony feel even more meaningful.

Surrounded by friends, family, and the beautiful countryside views, Eleanor and Andrew exchanged their vows in the warm summer air.

Outdoor Cake Cutting at Golden Hour

Relaxed Moments in the Gardens

After the ceremony, guests gathered outside to celebrate while we took group photos in the gardens. Once those were complete, the afternoon flowed naturally into relaxed candid moments - guests chatting, laughing, and enjoying the surroundings with the soft sound of a piano being played added to the atmosphere, creating a calm and elegant backdrop as the celebrations continued.

These moments are often some of my favourites to photograph with real interactions, genuine laughter, and the story of the day unfolding naturally.

Speeches Filled with Laughter

The speeches were a highlight of the afternoon, bringing plenty of laughter along with a few emotional moments. Stories about Eleanor and Andrew had the whole room smiling, and it was clear how loved they both are by everyone around them.

Golden Hour Cake Cutting

As the evening light softened, Eleanor and Andrew chose the perfect moment to cut their wedding cake, outdoors during golden hour. The warm light streaming across the gardens created such a beautiful setting for this part of the day. Golden hour always adds something special to wedding photography, and this moment felt relaxed and joyful as guests gathered to watch.

Golden Hour Portraits

Straight after the cake cutting, we stepped away for a few quiet moments to capture Eleanor and Andrew’s golden hour portraits. The evening light around Farleigh House was simply stunning, creating soft, glowing photographs that perfectly reflected the warmth of the day.

These portraits are often some of the most romantic images of the whole wedding day, and Farleigh House provided the most incredible backdrop.

First Dance and Evening Celebrations

As the evening celebrations began, Eleanor and Andrew took to the dance floor for their first dance as newlyweds. Surrounded by family and friends, it was a lovely moment that officially started the evening party. From there, the dance floor quickly filled as everyone joined in to celebrate a truly unforgettable day.

A Beautiful Day at Farleigh House

Eleanor and Andrew’s wedding at Farleigh House was filled with thoughtful touches - from the bagpipes welcoming guests to the golden hour portraits in the gardens. It was such a joy to capture a day that blended tradition, elegance, and relaxed celebration so beautifully.
