A SPRING WEDDING AT CROWCOMBE COURT WITH EMMA & THOMAS

Emma and Thomas were blessed with the most incredible spring sunshine for their beautiful March wedding at Crowcombe Court in Taunton, Somerset. With clear blue skies and warm temperatures that felt more like early summer than spring, their day unfolded in the most magical way at this stunning historic venue nestled on the edge of the Quantock Hills.

Bridal preparations in the Getting Ready Room

Emma’s morning began in the elegant getting ready room at Crowcombe Court, flooded with natural light, a photographer’s dream. She wore a timeless, simple strapless gown that suited her perfectly: effortlessly elegant, modern, and completely classic. Her bridesmaids complemented the spring setting beautifully in soft sage green dresses, a colour palette that felt fresh and romantic against the grand interiors of the house.

One of the most emotional moments of the morning was the dad reveal. Seeing her father’s face light up as he saw Emma in her dress for the first time was incredibly special and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. These quiet, heartfelt moments before the ceremony are always some of my favourites to capture.

Meanwhile, Thomas and his groomsmen were getting ready in The Gallery, sharing laughs, straightening ties, and soaking in the excitement before the day officially began.

The Great Hall at Crowcombe Court

A celebrant-led ceremony in the Great Hall

Emma and Thomas chose a celebrant-led ceremony in The Great Hall, allowing them to create something deeply personal and meaningful. The space looked breathtaking, with its grand architecture and warm light pouring through the windows.

A talented string quartet provided live music, adding an elegant and romantic atmosphere as Emma walked down the aisle. The ceremony was full of laughter, happy tears, and heartfelt vows, a true reflection of their relationship.

Confetti, Group Photos & Portraits in the Gardens

After the ceremony, guests gathered outside in the sunshine on the front steps of Crowcombe Court for confetti and group photographs, with the beautiful historic façade providing the perfect backdrop.

We then explored the grounds for Emma and Thomas’s couple portraits. The sunshine brought the gardens to life, giving us the dreamiest light and colours. A very special highlight was including their two beloved dogs in the photos, they were clearly thrilled to be part of the celebrations and made everyone smile.

A Bridgerton-inspired Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast took place in The Ballroom, styled with a subtle Bridgerton vibe, elegant, romantic, and full of soft spring tones. It felt like stepping into a period drama, perfectly suited to the grandeur of Crowcombe Court.

Emma and Thomas chose to have speeches before the meal, which created such a wonderful atmosphere in the room. There was laughter, touching tributes, and a few emotional moments that made the whole space feel full of love and connection.

Golden Hour Magic

As the sun began to lower in the sky, we slipped away for golden hour portraits in the gardens and they were truly magical. The warm light wrapped around the couple, creating the most romantic glow and some of my favourite images of the day. March golden hour can be unpredictable, but this one was absolutely perfect.

An Evening Celebration in The Vaulted Undercroft

The celebrations continued into the evening in The Vaulted Undercroft, where Emma and Thomas shared their first dance surrounded by family and friends. The historic stone setting created an incredible party atmosphere, and the dance floor quickly filled as guests celebrated long into the night.

A Perfect Spring Wedding in Somerset

Emma and Thomas’s wedding was the perfect example of how beautiful a spring wedding can be; full of warmth, joy, and unforgettable moments. Crowcombe Court provided a stunning backdrop for every part of their day, from the grand ceremony to the intimate evening celebrations.

Emma and Thomas, thank you for trusting me to capture your incredible wedding. It was an absolute honour to be part of such a joyful and love-filled day.
