A BEAUTIFUL SPRING WEDDING AT CROWCOMBE COURT WITH ALICE & BEN

There is something incredibly special about a spring wedding when the sun shows up in full force and this beautiful celebration at Crowcombe Court was exactly that. The day was filled with warmth, joy, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that makes documenting a wedding feel effortless. With sunshine from start to finish, it was one of those rare March days that felt more like early summer - the kind of light every photographer dreams of and the perfect setting for a relaxed, joy-filled celebration

Bridal preparations in the Getting Ready Room

The morning began in the elegant getting ready room, where the bridal prep unfolded in a calm and light-filled space. There’s always a quiet kind of excitement during this part of the day - final touches, laughter with loved ones, emotional moments and those fleeting in-between moments that often become some of the most meaningful photographs. The soft natural light pouring through the windows made it the perfect setting to capture all the little details.

Wedding ceremony in the Great Hall at Crowcombe Court Somerset

A Grand Ceremony in the Great Hall

The ceremony took place in the stunning Great Hall, one of Crowcombe Court's most iconic spaces; a space that perfectly balances grandeur with intimacy with its high ceilings and timeless elegance, it created a truly unforgettable setting as the couple exchanged their vows surrounded by family and friends.

It was a heartfelt and emotional ceremony, filled with smiles, happy tears, and that unmistakable feeling of two people completely present in the moment.

One of the standout moments followed immediately after, as they walked back down the aisle as newlyweds a saxophone player filled the hall with music. It was such a unique and joyful way to mark the moment, instantly setting the tone for the celebrations ahead.

Confetti, Group Photos & Portraits in the Gardens

After the ceremony guests made their way outside to enjoy the incredible sunshine and views for the drinks reception, where the saxophonist continued to play, creating a relaxed and vibrant backdrop. With the sunshine lighting up the grand façade of Crowcombe Court, it provided the perfect backdrop for confetti, always one of the most fun and energetic parts of the day followed by formal group photographs with that iconic backdrop.

Afterwards, we took a wander through the gardens for couple portraits. With the soft spring light and the grounds just beginning to come to life, it was the ideal setting for natural, romantic images. These quieter moments away from the crowd often allow couples to slow down and really take it all in.

A Bridgerton-inspired Wedding Breakfast

The celebrations continued inside with the wedding breakfast held in the elegant Ballroom. As guests took their seats, the saxophonist made another appearance, playing the couple into the room in style, an entrance that felt both elegant and full of personality and high-energy, setting the tone for the rest of the afternoon.

Golden Hour Magic

As the day moved into the evening, the couple cut their cake before we stepped outside once more for one of the most beautiful part of the day, golden hour. The light was absolutely perfect - soft, warm, and glowing across the grounds, creating the dreamiest conditions for those final portraits of the day. It’s always worth stepping away for those few extra minutes, and this was no exception. These are always some of the most special moments to capture, giving the couple time to pause together and take it all in.

First Dance and Evening Celebration in The Vaulted Undercroft

As the evening celebrations began, everyone gathered once again to watch the couple take to the dance floor for their first dance. It was such a lovely, intimate moment before the party truly got started. From there, the dance floor quickly filled, with guests ready to celebrate into the night.  It was the perfect ending to a day that had already been filled with so many unforgettable moments.

A Perfect Spring Wedding in Somerset

From start to finish, this wedding was a beautiful reflection of everything that makes spring weddings so special. From sunshine-filled moments to live music woven throughout the day, this wedding at Crowcombe Court was a perfect example of how thoughtful details and a relaxed atmosphere can come together to create something truly unforgettable. Crowcombe Court provided the most incredible backdrop for the day, and it was such a joy to capture every part of it.

Alice and Ben, thank you for trusting myself and Kien to capture your incredible wedding. It was an absolute honour to be part of such a joyful and love-filled day.
