On the 29th of May 2025, beneath soft spring skies in the heart of Somerset, love filled the air at the breathtaking Elmhay Park. Set within 500 acres of rolling parkland, ancient trees and manicured gardens, this elegant estate provided the most romantic backdrop for a day that was as joyful as it was timeless.
Bridal preparations at The Lodge
The morning began at The Lodge, tucked away within the estate grounds, where excitement bubbled from the very first pop of prosecco. Glasses clinked and laughter echoed through the rooms as hair and makeup artists worked their magic. With prosecco flowing and music playing softly in the background, it was the perfect atmosphere. Relaxed, warm, and filled with anticipation.
The bride looked effortlessly radiant as the final touches were added. Her wedding dress was simply breathtaking: classic in silhouette with delicate detailing that caught the light beautifully. It was one of those gowns that felt both timeless and entirely her.
Her bridesmaids wore the most gorgeous sage green dresses, a soft, romantic shade that complemented the late-May gardens perfectly. The colour palette tied in seamlessly with the natural beauty surrounding the estate, creating such a cohesive and elegant look.
One of the most emotional moments of the morning was the bride’s reveal with her bridesmaids. As they turned to see the bride, their reactions said it all, gasps, tears, and the biggest smiles. Shortly after came the equally touching reveal with her dad. Seeing his daughter in her dress for the first time was a moment filled with pride and pure love, one of those memories that will be treasured forever before he walked her down the aisle.

Ceremony in the Italian Veranda
The ceremony took place on the stunning Italian Veranda, where classical architecture meets sweeping countryside views. Bathed in soft daylight, the setting felt intimate yet grand. Surrounded by their closest family and friends (and their dog close by), the couple exchanged vows with the Somerset landscape stretching out around them.
After the ceremony, guests spilled out onto the lawns for congratulations, hugs, and plenty of celebratory drinks. Group photos were captured against the beautiful stone façade before we wandered into the gardens for couple portraits. Late spring florals were in bloom, and the gentle warmth of the afternoon created the dreamiest light. Every corner of Elmhay Park offered another perfect backdrop.
Wedding breakfast in the Victorian Orangery
The celebrations continued in the Victorian-style Orangery, where round tables were set beneath soaring glass ceilings that flooded the space with natural light. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, refined without ever feeling formal.
Guests enjoyed a delicious wedding breakfast, filled with conversation, laughter, and the happy hum that only comes from a room full of people celebrating love. Once plates were cleared and glasses refreshed, it was time for speeches. Heartfelt, hilarious, and occasionally tear-inducing, they perfectly captured the couple’s story and the warmth of their families.
Golden Hour in the Walled Garden
As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, we slipped away for golden hour portraits in the walled garden and at the bandstand. The evening light wrapped everything in a soft glow, creating the most romantic atmosphere. These quiet moments together, just the two of them, allowed the day to pause for a breath, a chance to soak it all in.
The golden light against the historic stone walls and manicured greenery made for some truly magical images, effortlessly natural and filled with joy.
Evening Celebrations
As night fell, the celebration moved back inside for the cutting of the cake, a sweet, symbolic moment cheered on by friends and family. Shortly after came the first dance, a beautiful and emotional start to the evening party. Guests gathered around the dance floor, creating an atmosphere full of love and excitement before the DJ kicked off and the party truly began.
From prosecco-filled preparations to golden hour portraits and dancing late into the evening, this wedding at Elmhay Park was the perfect blend of elegance, warmth, and pure celebration. A stunning Somerset setting, heartfelt moments, and a couple so clearly meant for each other — it was a day that will be remembered for years to come.
Ultimately, this was more than just a beautiful venue and a perfectly planned timeline; it was a day built on deep connection, family, and joy. Every thoughtful detail, from the sage green gowns to the candlelit orangery and those glowing sunset portraits came together effortlessly. Weddings at Elmhay Park always feel special, but this one truly captured the magic of springtime in Somerset: relaxed, romantic, and overflowing with love from beginning to end.
Kylie + Charlie, thank you for trusting me to document your incredible day.
